FAIRFAX, VA- Theta Tau Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. will launch its new website: www.novasigmas.com on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 5:00 p.m.
Launch of the new website is part of the chapter’s vision to become more active in the Northern Virginia community that it serves by providing a focal point for relevant information. The new website will allow the local community, along with fraternity members, to stay informed about community activities, civic partnerships, volunteer opportunities and educational opportunities the chapter is involved with to promote a positive community.
According to Theta Tau Sigma Chapter president, Wilfred Schouten Jr., “Our new website will be an information hub that allows us to connect with the Northern Virginia community in a comprehensive way. We view this as a tool that allows us to be impactful within our community.”
Among the information the Northern Virginia community can expect to see on the website includes information about the chapter’s scholarships done in conjunction with its 501(c)(3) charitable foundation, local volunteer opportunities, information about the Sigma Beta Club, which is the chapter’s mentorship program for young males aged 8 to 18, and information related to the chapter’s partnerships with local charitable organizations that the community can participate in also.
“Our chapter realized we wanted to take a more active role in our community. We understood we needed to find additional ways to connect with people and provide relevant information to affect positive change. This website is one of many tools we plan to use for that change,” Schouten added.
